My Generation

Synopsis

A former hippie, a communist, a civil servant, a physicist, a musician and a dancer look back on their lives. They tell of their hopes and their plans. Together with biographical facts, interviews serve to elucidate such philosophical themes as the meaning of life and the transient nature of existence. The film focuses on the sociopolitical developments of recent decades and the problem of growing old in a culture in which youth and beauty are more important than experience or insight.
